12/2/2003 - Released album 'The Diary of Alicia Keyes', which debuted as #1 in the US. Album became the 6th biggest selling album by a female artist, sold 9 million copies worldwide.
11/13/2007 - Released album ''As I Am', which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200.

2001 - Won 3 Billboard Music Awards, 1 MTV Video Music Award & 2 Rolling Stone Reader's Choice Awards.
2002 - Won 5 Grammy Awards, 2 American Music Awards & 2 Teen Choice Awards.

My favorite Alicia Keys quote is: "I believe Aids is the most important issue we face, because how we treat the poor is a reflection of who we are as a people." Alicia is an amazing performer. as well as being an amazing human being. She is a spokeswoman for Keep a Child Alive, a non-profit organization that provides life-saving Aids medicine to children and families with HIV/Aids in Africa. She has visited Africian countries to promote care for children affected by Aids. And she's also a spokeswoman for Frum the Ground Up, a charity devoted to inspiring and motivating American youths to achieve success. Alicia's still a lot younger than Angelina Jolie, so I'm guessing we have a few years before she's ready to start adopting her own united nations-esque family.
