8/30/1994 - Released debut Album, "Usher"
9/16/1997 - Released album "My Way". Lead single, "You Make Me Wanna", reached #1 it's second week out.
8/7/2001 - Released album "8701". The first 2 singles topped the US Hot 100 singles chart for 4 and 6 weeks respectively.
3/23/2004 - Released album "Confessions". It sold 1.1 million units it's first week of sales, beating R. Kelly's record from 2000 as the highest 1st week numbers scanned by a male R&B artist at Soundscan.
8/22/2006 - Usher took over the role of Billy Flynn in the Broadway musical "Chicago".
6/8/2008 - Usher's fifth studio album, entitled "Here I Stand" is scheduled to be released.

8/3/2007 - Married pregnant fiancee Taneka Foster at a civil ceremony, 6 days after their cancelled wedding was to have taken place.
9/20/2007 - Gave a speech at Barack Obama's political rally at the Georgia World Congress Center.
11/26/2007 - Usher Raymond V was born.
Usher has proven by far to be the best male R&B singer of his generation. With 5 grammy awards under his belt and more than 10 years in the business, it's safe to say that Usher's not going anywhere. After he starred in "In the Mix", I was expecting to see a more of his onscreen talent, but I assume I still have a little longer to wait for that. Accepting the role of Billy Flynn in "Chicago" is a major coup for Usher, and shows us all that his star is still rising.
